myStandards GmbH wins trip to Silicon Valley as one of three companies!
High Flyer 2019
A lot of entrepreneurship in an exciting finale: In the second round of the high-flyer competition the best startups have now been chosen.
Six young companies presented their business ideas to a jury of 15 experts for the “High Flyer 2019”. In the finals of the second nationwide start-up competition under the patronage of Economics Minister Dr. Bernd Buchholz, three founders won a trip to San Francisco and Silicon Valley: “Naiture” from Friedrichsgabekoog in the Dithmarschen district and “Firefighter VR” and “myStandards” from Kiel.
The Minister thanked all entrepreneurs for their participation and congratulated the winners. In San Francisco, they will get to know the hotspots for startups, make new contacts and further develop their ideas.
A lot of potential in the real North
“United, we are creating more and more opportunities for startups in Schleswig-Holstein to realize themselves and their ideas. The finalists have once again demonstrated the potential of our state,” said Buchholz. Naiture Managing Director Vitali Czymmek was pleased “to experience the spirit of Silicon Valley soon”: “It would be wonderful if we could carry our ideas to Silicon Valley and convince them there,” continued the Technical Director.
The three winning start-ups
Naiture develops robotic systems for weed control in agriculture based on artificial intelligence, robotics and big data technologies. Compared to chemical weed control, these solutions have many advantages and create an interface between agriculture and state-of-the-art technology.
Firefighter VR is a virtual reality solution that allows firefighters to train anytime, anywhere. As a stand-alone digital training solution, it helps reduce costs for instructors, special training areas and long journeys to training facilities.
myStandards GmbH produces and distributes nano pellets worldwide, which serve as comparative samples in chemical solid analysis (e.g. for the mining of rare earths for smartphones or for sediment analyses for climate research).
At the second edition of the competition, the organizers were able to award a prize to all participants thanks to the numerous sponsors, said Börrje Schneider of the Marketing Club Schleswig-Holstein. Places four to six will receive a two-day study trip to Berlin. In addition, “IO Dynamics” from Flensburg will receive a wild card for participation in the StartUp Camp of the Ministry of Economic Affairs.
