Calibration
Get sure to calibrate your LA-ICP-MS, LIBS, micro-XRF (µXRF) or XRF device the best way and do your calibration with (Nano)-Pellets from myStandards. If you want to have the best possible calibration you need a standard as your probe. It has to be as close as possible to your sample, homogeneous and should definitely match the matrix of your analysed sample. The best way to make sure you have the right calibration is to choose a pressed pellet made from nearly the same material as your probe without any binding agents to hold.
